Jade Pearl Steltzner (France)

Based in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, in the French Alps, photographer Jade Steltzner develops a body of work centered on nature, landscape and research notebooks. For more than ten years, the medium has been part of her daily life, becoming an intimate tool through which she builds a dialogue with the environment she inhabits.

She holds a degree in Visual Arts, with a specialization in photography, from Université Paris 8, and also studied auteur photography at UNSAM (Universidad Nacional de San Martín) in Buenos Aires.

Her images and personal writings explore bodily experience, phenomenology and our relationship to territories. They are grounded in a concern for ecology and the preservation and observation of natural environments, which she approaches through a feminist lens.

In Chamonix, her work has been shown at Librairie Sauvage and at UNES, a feminist festival for whose first edition she created a fanzine. She has also exhibited at the Town Hall of Les Houches and at Boomerang in Lyon. Her photographs and writings have been published in Notas CPAU (no. 39, "Movilidad, arquitectura y urbanismo"), Phosphène ("Les motifs") and Revue Ouste.

She is currently researching the nature of perception and the effects of meditation on the mind and on the way we perceive our surroundings. In November and December 2026, she will pursue this research during the La Wayaka Current residency in the Atacama Desert, Chile, with her project Géologies intimes.
