Bárbara Salinas & Jourdan Lucente (Chile / France)

Photography and filmmaking duo investigating environmental justice, extractivism and the socioecological impacts of mineral extraction. Their proposed research examines the narratives surrounding lithium and copper production, particularly the representation of deserts as empty territories. Through photography, video, field recordings and situated observation, they seek to make visible ecological relationships, water dependencies and communities affected by extractive processes.
