Lisa Germany (Australia)

Lisa Germany is an Australian photographer and haiku/haibun poet trained in astrophysics. Working across photography, poetry and, more recently, field recording, her practice explores how learning more about a place changes what we notice. Her scientific background informs how she works: observing closely, asking questions, researching a place, then returning to the field to look again. She is interested in how places came to be the way they are, and what it's actually like to be there.
