Anne Ardouin (Canada, Wendat Nation)
Anne Ardoouin holds a PhD in Landscape Studies from Université de Montréal and an MFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University.
Her research-creation practice explores relationships between landscape, ecology, memory and perception through photography, drawing and field-based methodologies. Her projects often develop through attentive walking, observation and image-making, taking the form of visual inventories that translate sensory experiences and encounters with specific places into images and gestures.
Over the years, she has developed a body of work attentive to phenomena within ecosystems at different scales, from plants and riverbanks to forests and broader territorial forms. Her work explores how landscapes are perceived, experienced, transformed and remembered.
