Emily Peters (USA)
Emily Peters (EiY) is a sustainable textile, metal, and sound artist. She creates with discarded materials using non-toxic methods of dyeing and creation, and composes soundscapes that are heavily influenced by nature and self inquiry. In her sound practice, she translates the unfolding of this eternal moment into soundscapes. Herbalism, and vibrational and movement practices also nourish and inform EiY’s work. All of these channels of creation culminate in immersive experiences, performances and films that encourage reflection upon the self, our placement on this Earth and the cosmos, and our interdependence with each other. Emily was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and is based in Miami, Florida. She received a Bachelor of Science in Clothing Design with a minor in Fine Art from University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 2006.
